We took Seaduction out for the winter as usual in November. Engine serviced and winterised, Water tanks flushed and drained.
This year we had decided to replace the Saloon upholstery and one of the rear mattress. The removal of the mattress was a challenge getting it off the boat.
As we had lost some of our toys up the mast last year – Loud Hailer and our TV Aerial. We decided that we should get the mast down for inspection and replace the items. This required hiring a crane this was then safely stored next to Seaduction and carried out all the repairs. Carole removed all books, charts, food, clothing and bedding to take home. Now the boat is empty apart from Tea Bags and some sugar. This year Carole accompanied me often to Ipswich to help a through our scheduled tasks which was a great help so I had to be a bit tidier then just being there myself.
