Poole to Yarmouth

14th August – Sunday

We awoke to a beautiful, sunny morning and after showers and breakfast, Carole took a walk to the Tesco’s to buy milk, water, etc to see us through while at Yarmouth as the stores there are small and quite expensive. Chris topped up the water tanks and checked details of our passage to Yarmouth. At midday, we slipped our lines and headed off under engine. Unfortunately the winds were too light to sail without the engine’s assistance, but nonetheless we had a pleasant trip, arriving in Yarmouth just after 4 o’clock. We had texted Sally our arrival time and were able to see them on the quayside as we entered the harbour. Within minutes of our tying up safely in our berth, we were getting lots of hugs and kisses from Sally, Tony, Liam, Daniel and Bobby, which was lovely.

Our first evening all together was spent having dinner and drinks in a local pub restaurant which was very pleasant. Unsurprisingly, we both slept well.
