Brightlingsea 2013

The Tides were right to go to Brightlingsea and with favourable weather we set off.  We called the Harbour Master the morning we set off just to make sure that they had room for us and that we should arrive there about 17:30.  We were making good progress but the wind became light and our speed was reduced. Therefore our arrival time would now be about 18:30.  The Harbour Master normally finishes work at 18:00 during the week but stayed on to duty to guide us to our berth and taking our lines. Big thank you to the Harbour Master.

This is a working harbour and is now busy with support boats for the wind farms at the Gunfleet, and various small fishing boats supplying the local shops
